Wiltshire mobility scooter users in line for new path
A new route to help those with mobility scooters is being planned in Wiltshire.
People living in Salisbury are being given the opportunity to learn more about the scheme and air their views at an exhibition organised by transport charity Sustrans and Wiltshire Council later this week.
According to the news provider Alistair Millington, Sustrans area manager for Wiltshire, said that the plans aim to make journeys on foot and by bike safer and more accessible in the region.
"This exhibition is a great chance for local people to get to see the proposals scheme so they can show support for it or talk to the team behind it about any issues or concerns they may have," he added.
The news provider went on to say that the exhibitors hope the routes will benefit mobility scooter users as well as pedestrians, cyclists, wheelchair users and parents with buggies.
Earlier this week, the Hertfordshire Mercury reported that the local council is planning to give mobility scooter users in Broxbourne easier access to the townÂ’s pavements.
