Consider mobility aid insurance, website says
Users of mobility aids, like mobility scooters, stairlifts and recliner chairs, often fail to factor the devices into their insurance plans, one website has said.
According to best-health-fitness.com, taking out insurance cover on your mobility aid is a worthwhile idea.
For users of mobility scooters, for example, insurance can guard against accidental injury, theft and third party liability, the website said.
Breakdown cover should also be considered.
"Many owners never consider breakdown cover until it's too late and they find themselves and their scooter stranded at the local shopping centre or bank," the website said.
While some people consider insurance simply a "money-making scheme", users of mobility devices should seriously consider insurance.
"Take heed and ensure your mobility products are covered for all emergencies that could arise leaving you stranded and out of pocket."
