Buying a disabled toilet

Having a disability or mobility difficulties is no reason to lose your dignity. There are a number of products available to help you find a disabled toilet that will allow you to keep your independence in all areas of everyday life.

If your problem is with getting yourself in and out of a seated position, you could install hand rails around your toilet. They may be placed horizontally or vertically and at a number of different points around the lavatory to allow you to grab for support anywhere you might need to.

You could fit a disabled toilet alarm to make sure you can call help quickly just in case you do suffer a fall or other emergency.

Disabled toilets can come at different levels to make it easier for you to be seated at the easiest position.

The area around the toilet should also be left wide and clear, especially if you need to approach in a wheelchair.

For many people, there comes a time when showering or bathing demands extra care and effort. Premier Care’s walk-in baths and easy access showers have made bathing safer and more enjoyable for over 25 years. With a huge selection of styles and colours to choose from, there’s certain to be one that’s perfect for you.
